Executive Committee Members

Max Stone

Max Stone is a managing director and a member of the Executive Committee, in which capacity he jointly supervises the firm's worldwide asset management businesses. Mr. Stone oversees the discretionary macro investment strategy, which he also heads on a day-to-day basis. He also serves on the Risk Committee and oversees the energy, reinsurance, benchmark-relative equities, and global asset-class investment strategies. Mr. Stone joined the firm in 1992, a year after receiving his B.A. in psychology from Brown University, graduating magna cum laude.

Julius Gaudio

Julius Gaudio is a managing director and a member of the Executive Committee, in which capacity he jointly supervises the firm's worldwide asset management businesses. Mr. Gaudio oversees the asset-backed securities, corporate credit, special situations, convertible securities, long/short equity, and U.S. private equity investment strategies, as well as certain businesses focused on the Asia-Pacific and European regions. He also serves on the Risk Committee. Mr. Gaudio joined the firm in 1993 after receiving his A.B. in honors economics with coursework focusing on international monetary economics from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude, where he was awarded a John Harvard Scholarship for academic distinction.

Eric Wepsic

Eric Wepsic is a managing director and a member of the Executive Committee, in which capacity he jointly supervises the firm's worldwide asset management businesses. Mr. Wepsic oversees much of the systematic alternative investment strategies. He also serves on the Risk Committee and has oversight responsibility for the activities of the Chief Risk Officer, as well as the firm's global information technology platform and back-office financial operations. Mr. Wepsic joined the firm in 1994 after receiving his A.B. in mathematics in 1992 and A.M. in mathematics in 1994, both from Harvard University. Mr. Wepsic is a two-time winner of the internationally renowned William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Examination, and he was also a gold medalist in the 1987 International Mathematics Olympiad.

Eddie Fishman

Eddie Fishman is a managing director, the Chief Operating Officer, and a member of the Executive Committee, in which capacity he jointly supervises the firm's worldwide asset management businesses. Mr. Fishman has oversight responsibility for several infrastructural and capital-raising functions, including the firm's human capital, investor relations, legal and compliance, and India-based financial research and information technology activities. He joined the firm in 1995 and became Chief Operating Officer in 2010. He graduated with honors from Princeton University with a degree in comparative literature. Mr. Fishman holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
